I came to know that using MICROWAVE OVEN is very danger?!

Question:

I came to know that using MICROWAVE OVEN is very danger?

is it true that russia gov. banded microwave ovens?
they made some experiment on plant and declared as it is hazards to health because of radiation.
if so why other gov. are permiting?
plzzzzzzzzzzzzz give me the correct answer.................

Answers:
Microwave ovens emit harmful genetic damaging radiation. They heat food by causing molecular friction. It is not advised that you stand right in front of one when it's in operation. Stand several feet away while they are in operation. And never try and use one that has a damaged door etc... And very important Do not put metal objects in the microwave oven, it will cause sparks and burn the magnetron tub. With a few exceptions, some covered metal objects can be put i the microwave, but to be on the safe side you should steer clear of putting metal objects in it.

It's interesting how people are cautious around microwave ovens yet they think nothing of putting a cell phone right next to their ear when they use it. The same type of radiation in a cell phone is emitted as when a microwave oven is on, only in much reduced amounts. However I don't put a cell phone up to my ear when I talk because all instructions recommend that a person hold it at least 4 inches from their head when using it.

true. in our country the processed food industry is HUGE and they rely on microwaves. there is no money in doing studies to prove that they are a health hazzard. PLUS microwaving your food depletes the nutrients.

Radiation

Some people are concerned with being exposed to the microwave radiation. According to the United States Food and Drug Adminstration's Center for Devices and Radiological Health, a U.S. Federal standard limits microwave leakage from an oven, for the lifetime of the device, to 5 milliwatts per square centimeter when measured 2 inches from the surface of the oven. This is far below the exposure level that is currently considered to be harmful to human health. As a comparison, a GSM mobile phone may emit up to 1 W at 1800 MHz, which is 3.2 mW/cm2, at 5 cm with a human being staying nearby (such as within 5 cm) for far longer periods of time. Whether or not cellular phones are hazardous to one's health is controversial (see mobile phone radiation and health).

The radiation produced by a microwave oven is non-ionizing. As such, it does not have the specific cancer risks associated with ionizing radiation such as X-rays, ultraviolet light, and high-energy particles. Any health problems would result from electric currents induced in the body, most prominently cataract formation. Long-term rodent studies to assess cancer risk have so far failed to clearly identify any carcinogenicity from 2450 MHz microwave radiation at chronic (large fraction of life span) exposure levels, far larger than humans are likely to encounter even from leaking ovens.

well I dont know about the russian govt., but those might be russian microwaves, therefore quality in question. But as far as modern microwave ovens go, the only danger u r in, is eating it too soon, after taking food out.
And as for standing too close, microwaves are all around us in todays world, so all our brains are already cooked, right?
