Ok, its not called Julian, its called Julienne

Julian salad is a mixed salad of lettuce, can include red cabbage, usually has radishes and tomatoes, a sliced hard boiled egg, and some turkey and ham slices. Also some cheddar cheese slices. Top with fav. dressing.

Julienne refers to a style of salad where the veggies are cut into small strips about the size and shape of matches.

Julienne is a way you can slice vegetables, where they are sliced long ways instead of short/across. I've never heard of a Julian salad.

never heard of it

To julienne simply means to thinly slice the meats, cheese and veggies you use for a salad. Julian slices are long and thin and make the salad easy to eat and also makes it very attractive. You can use whatever ingredients you like for this type of salad.

Fresh iceberg lettuce
julian strips of honey ham & smoked turkey
two kinds of cheese
hard-boiled eggs
tomatoes
your choice of dressing

Julienne salads have the veggies cut into thin strips. Therefore the name julienne.

It's a salad that consists of asst. meats & cheeses(sliced Julienne style), all the veggies you want, etc......
The Julienne style is just a word that decribes how the food is cut.
