Whats's a sauce for cooked spinach that even a bachelor can do?!

Question:

Whats's a sauce for cooked spinach that even a bachelor can do?

I like cooked spinach. But what can I put on it? I've been doing butter and garlic. But what else?

There was an asian peanut sauce I had on spinach in a restaurant once. Can I buy that somewhere?

This is for a bachelor, remember so it has to be easy.

Answers:
Not sure but this is a blinder. Get a box of Knorr vegetable soup and check the back, most of them have a recipe for spinach dip and it's awesome. When I met my husband, he would always make it and take it to parties and everyone assumed I made it. It was really simple and easy and tastes great and will impress women. Keep an eye out for those boxes!

Do what I do:

1) Add that cooked spinach to spaghetti sauce and serve it on some noodles; or
2) Add a little lemon juice and some salt.

Go to Whole foods or any equivalent you have in your area--look in the regular salad dressing aisle--they usually have other sauces you can heat up for different veggies- or look in the defined aisles- italian, mexican, asian foods--they also will have the specialty items in those aisle and you can pick something you might like--may even find what you had at that restaurant. good luck

ps-- any sauce on a veggie is easy- it's a matter of just pouring it on before during or after cooking.....that's it.

Cheese sauces, Asian peanut sauce sounds awesome also:

hard boil some eggs, slice them and plate up with them on top as an attractive garnish. they go great with spinach and look nice too and are soooo easy

Microwave cheez whiz.....or grate cheese over it and then nuke it. Peanut sauce is in the asian food section; sauces in particular. You could also try oyster flavoured sauce...not for everyone since it can be too salty for some...

Cook it with chunks of garlic, or onion, then drizzle with a little olive oil and either (a) balsamic vinegar and/or (b) tarragon vinegar.

Go to the International foods aisle of your store and look for Thai peanut sauce. Toss that with your salad to perk it up nicely.

You can also buy Hollandaise sauce pre-made or in packets. Most of the latter only require reconstituting with some water and cooking briefly on the stove or in the microwave.

My mom used to sprinkle cooked spinach with finely chopped or sieved hard-boiled egg and a little wine vinegar. It's one of the few ways that I like cooked spinach.

I like creamed spinach, and nothing could be easier than cream sauce. In a saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of margarine or butter, and stir in 2 tablespoons of flour. Cook for a few minutes, stirring constantly.

Season lightly with salt and pepper, then slowly mix in a cup of milk, stirring after each addition. Cook until thickened, adding more milk if necessary. Blend in your cooked spinach, and there you have it.

Hey I'm a bachelor too, don't mean you can't cook.......say you are stovetop challenged better.....give us bachelors a bad name.

Anyway, some olive oil, and garlic with some red peppers ....heat the oil...add red peppers, add garlic then put in spinach. you can use some red pepper flakes for some spice if you like salt and pepper...you are done...

fry a little bacon and drain part of the grease, but leave a little in the pan with the bacon. add the spinach and cook until its done. salt and pepper to taste.
