possibly with sour cream...and the recipe would be nice

SOUR CREAM DUTCH APPLE PIE

2 c. apples (sliced or chopped)
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream (can be all or part canned milk)
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix all together and pour in pastry. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees; bake until apples are tender and mixture is almost firm.
Cover with the following topping and bake about 10 minutes, or until topping seems done.


1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. sugar

SOUR CREAM LEMON PIE

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1 1/4 c. milk
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
1/3 c. lemon juice
1/4 c. butter
1 c. sour cream
1 pie crust
Whipped cream

In saucepan: Stir sugar and starch. Gradually stir in milk until smooth. Stir in next 3 items and add butter, stirring constantly. Bring to boil and boil 1 minute.
Pour into bowl and cover, then refrigerate 40-50 minutes until cool but not set. Fold in sour cream and turn into pie crust. Refrigerate 2 hours until firm. Garnish with cream.

some kind with lemon, apple or chocolate!

Egg and Bacon Pie.....1/2 kilo of good bacon,1 dozen eggs,1 pkt of sheet pastry,[use two sheets out of this] Lightly fry bacon in dry pan.When done put aside to cool.Line a baking dish with one sheet of the pastry.Break in 4 eggs and add some bacon and continue until all eggs are used.Put some fresh cracked pepper over the top.Now cover pie with remaining sheet of pastry.Brush top with egg yolk.Cook 180 celsius until golden brown.Test with Wooden skewer.Serve with Sour Cream and fresh greens.

TOPPING:

1/3 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. butter, cut into patties

Combine sugar, flour, and salt. Add sour cream, egg, and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Add chopped apples. Pour onto unbaked pie shell.
Combine sugar, flour, and spices for topping. Sprinkle over top of pie. Dot with butter patties. Bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes.
