Cooking Meat (Chicken) In Pressure Cooker?
I have been told to cook certain types of meat in the pressure cooker.
Has anyone tried this and if so what is it like?
Some recipe ideas would be welcome.

Beef, lamb, mutton...pretty much all ur red meats that require gravy.
Chicken gets overdone in the Pressure cooker...and if your dish calls for it...do it but only for a a couple of whistles.

I use my pressure cooker fairly often. I do roasts, ribs, & even a whole chicken. Heat a little oil in the bottom and brown the roast. You can dip it in flour first or not, it's up to you. I go ahead and add potatoes & carrots, so add anything you want. Season the roast the way you like. I've been using garlic salt quite a bit lately. After you brown the roast and add your vegetables add 1 1/2 - 2 c. of water. Check your instruction book to make sure you add the right amount. Then, lock the lid on and add the pressure rocker thing. Heat it on medium/high until it starts rocking. Once it starts rocking cook for around 45 minutes. Make sure it rocks evenly. If it starts rocking too hard then turn it down a little. Your instruction book will tell you all of this. The roast comes out really tender. You can cook any meat in it. I think ribs only take about 15 minutes. Just check your instructions for how much water to add and how long to cook. I did the whole chicken, which we ate for dinner and then I used what was left in a casserole. You need to be sure to let the pressure cooker cool enough to release the lock before you remove the rocker thing.
