Do you know a recipe for homemade cat treats?!

Question:

Do you know a recipe for homemade cat treats?

I want to make my cats some homemade treats and I would like some recipes if anyone knows of any? They really like canned food like the fancy feast elegant medleys in the green can but its so expensive. Does anyone know a recipe similar to the canned food. I know it has spinach but I need more ingredients! Help please?

I see you have a # of recipes for treats so I'm going to just give you my recipe for 'food'

Almost-Spot's Stew

Ingredients:

1 whole chicken, preferably "free range" or packaged with "no hormones or antibiotics" on the label
2 cups brown rice
6 stalks celery
8 carrots, scrubbed but not peeled
2 or 3 yellow squash
2 or 3 zucchini
1 small broccoli crown
1 pkg spinach leaves

Wash chicken, then cover with water in a large stew pot. Cut vegetables into pieces and add to pot. Add rice. Cook until chicken almost falls off the bone and vegetables are tender. Completely debone the chicken. This is extremely important, as cooked chicken bones can splinter and cause serious intestinal damage. Pour the stew into a blender and blend or chop until mixture is coarse (about bite-sized). Freeze in meal-sized plastic bags.

Wow, I never realized there were so many homemade cat treats, I usually just open up an ice cream bar, take a bite of chocolate and then watch as my cat licks all the ice cream away! Have fun making treats for your kitties!
