Tonight's grocery night, what should I cook??
I have to go to the grocery store tonight, so I can pick up anything I want to cook, although when I get home, I would rather do a very simple, quick meal. I want something fresh, not a frozen pizza or anything, but something i could do fairly quick, not super expensive.
Answers:
what about meatball subs. just get some premade meatballs, hoagie buns, a can of ready made spaghetti sauce and some cheese. in and out of the kitchen in 20 minutes or less. serve them with either frozen fries or a fresh bagged salad.
spare ribs and corn on the cob is quick and easy and cheap. that's what I am having.
well if you like fish i would suggest getting tilapia and seasoning it and grill it on a george formen grill and cook some uncle ben's rice with it. and maybe some pole beans. or if oyu want something reallly good but it takes hours to make is roast chop up some onions and rosemary and brown the roast then put some water in and cook it with some garlic and cook it for a while. then make gravy and put portabella mushrooms in and make some white rice. YUM!
make some chicken and maybe a salad on the side...
1 Lb of rare roast beef at the deli, a jar of beef gravy, a bag of potatoes, a can of corn and a bagged salad. Heat the gravy and roast beef in a saucepot, make mashed potatoes and corn as your veggies and a small salad. Very good and very easy.
I like alot of pasta and its cheap and can be done quickly, summer salads are also a big hit our house
burgers, for some reason we always do burgers on grocery day.
