Oven roasted potatoes?!

Question:

Oven roasted potatoes?

i am making oven roasted potatoes in a glass baking dish.. i have no aluminum foil.. does this matter?

Answers:
just remember to toss them every now and then have them coated really good and you will be fine,, sometimes if you cook at a lower temp stuff turns out better

Do you mean to cover them with? If so, no problem. Just place a cookie sheet over them until they get tender.

No. You don't want to cover them or they won't get brown. Brushing/tossing them with melted butter rather than oil will brown them more and make them taste better...IMHO.

This is the way I do it, take potatoes cut up with the skins, cut onions, bell peppers, all in chunks...Put in bowl with olive oil coating them, with chopped garlic, rosemary, and salt and pepper. or lawrys seasoning salt. Spread out on cookie sheet..roast at 400 till brown and done. They are yummy..Covering them leaves them mushy, and not brown.

no its fine. To make really yummy potatoes mix oil with 1/3 of a cup of water and salt. and tip it over the top and bake at high temperature the water makes them really soft inside . high temperature makes them brown when all the water is evaporated.

Cut the potatoes in pieces and place in a single layer in a baking dish. I sprinkle with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic. I never use aluminum foil.

Hey mzxbabixgyrlx,
( you have a complicated Name don`t you think so)
take very small potatoes, cook them, peel them, let them get cold, cover them with breadcrumbs ( "wende sie in Paniermehl" ) and fry them in oil.
With "Grühnkohl mit Kassler" or "Grünkohl mit Pinkel" they are a dream.

ps: I like them also "solo".
