well are we talking about instant coffeee dear or coffe maker drip?
If instant well you only put in 1 teas,to one cup of coffee.
then sweeten and or cream as you desire.
for coffee maker use for 2-4 cups of water then use about 3 teaspoons of coffee.....
if you just want enough for 1 cup then add just enough, water to where it said on outside of coffee maker, fill up to one cup or may say 2 cups.
then add about 2 teas.of coffee these cups are designed for a bigger mug then a sm one.....
I also add a pinch of salt it helps cut down on the bitterness when you add the coffee to the basket on you coffee maker
Ps you may have to adjust the amount as you learn how to make it to suit your own taste ?okay!
hope this isn't too confusing to you dear!
coffee drinker for over 25 yrs...
then put less coffee and see how it tastes.
This all depends on how strong you like your coffee. It is was too strong put less coffee in until you get it right for your taste.
Me, I like 2 1/2 scoops of coffee per 10 cup pot.
for 6 cups use 3 tbsp.coffee did you clean your pot with vinegar 1 cup to a full pot of water let it brew then rinse the solution out and brew with clear water only 2 twice, you will see the difference then, good luck!
Sounds to me like you didn't use enough coffee. When you don't use enough coffee, the brew gets overextracted and bitter.
The normal formula is 2 tbsp. of coffee for each 6 oz. cup. There are 3 tsp. in a tbsp. Start there, then adjust the coffee according to your taste.
Hey cole,
If you want to do it the German way take for each cup one teaspoonfull of coffee ( with a heap) and one for the can.

ps: The Germans have the best coffee in the world -- but ---
eg Best coffee class of Brazil is SB = suitable for Bremen.
--- but --- the best coffee I have ever drunken was in Austria. We have the better coffee --- they do have the better water.
