Which cuts of beef do you get the most value for grilling?!

Question:

Which cuts of beef do you get the most value for grilling?

with the minimum amount of prep time.

Answers:
Probably London Broil (flank steak) or skirt steak (fajita steak). Both of these are fairly tough but extremely flavorful. When you slice be sure and slice thin and across the grain and don't cook past medium.

Top Sirloin steak is also a good value with lots of flavor, just not as tender as some of the more expensive cuts of meat.

If you want a really good value, watch for whole ribeyes to go on sale at the groecery store. Usually they will cut them for you or you can slice them to your desired thickness. I've bought them for as low as $ 3.49 a pound.

Ribbs Baby....

Brisket, I would say haven't had any that was really good since I left Texas.

Ooops sorry I didn't read the entire question Brisket needs to be cooked for hours if it is going to be right, so I would have to go with just a simple ribeye then.

London Broil.. taste Good and are pretty inexpensive.. however you have to cook these rare to medium rare because its a thick cut

I like to marinate a London broil, which is very inexpensive. The marinating is done overnight but it doesn't take a lot of prep time on your part. I mix a marinade & pour it over the meat in a ziploc bag. Every time you open the fridge, flip the meat. It really does add a lot of flavor & helps keep the meat tender.

My husband grills it until it's rare -- instant read thermometer reads 140 -- and lets it sit for 5 minutes before cutting.

Really good!

A thick-cut delmonico steak on the grill is de-lic-ious! You might have to go to a butcher shop to get one, but the cuts are so big it's enough for 2 people.

These aren't cheap but you can get a great steak at a decent price if you buy the tail of a tenderloin(they are also called tenderloin tails). Its the same cut as a filet but it is tapered so you cant make a uniformly a round steak out of it. That's why its cheaper, because restaurants want the round filets.

Don't overlook Flank Steak! Enjoy
