Answers:
wrap it in tin foil with chunky chopped onions and some sliced tomatoes salt pepper, and cook it in the oven on a low heat,it just melts in your mouth when done, and the juice makes an excellent salad dressing mmmmmmmmmmm,my mouths watering xx
fry it! The only way.... needs to be rare too.... Then make a peppercorn sauce by making a white sauce (flour and milk over a low heat - dont let it bubble, keep it sirring) then add about 25 crushed peppercorns to it!
Fantastic!
Best way is to quickly pan fry them, the time depends on how you like them cooked. Ranging from litter ally seconds for a blue or 10 Min's for a well done
Their are loads of ways:- my two favorates
A little oil in a really hot pan, throw the steak in for a minute or so either side to seal in the flavour then turn the pan down and cook through to taste.
Alternativley not sure if this will work for rump steak but it should) seal in a hot pan again then wrap in foil with onions, mushrooms and garlic and bob in the oven (on a baking tray but still wrapped in the foil) for about 20 mins on gas mark 5.
If in doubt and just want simple steak follow the instructions on the packet - Adding something like peppercorn sause makes a big difference.
Use a griddle pan, crack some pepper and sea salt onto the steaks and cook for 6 mins per side approx. Serve with a nice pepper sauce. Divine. I wouldn't use a white sauce as the basis for pepper sauce though as someone suggested, fry 1 crushed garlic clove and tblspoon of crushed peppercorns, add approx cup (200ml) of chicken stock, bring to boil, and simmer for 10 mins or so, then add half a cup of milk, and finally some cornflour to thicken.
i cook my steaks on a george foreman grill - they taste really nice and when you see the fat that comes out of them you will never cook them another way!
i grill mine for about 5 - 8 mins, i also add grated garlic on top for a bit of extra flavour!
I just stick mine in George foreman and keep an eye on them till they look done!
MARINATE THEM IN RED WINE OVER NIGH , THEN FRY QUICK ABOUT 3 MINS , THEN JUST A LITTLE MORE WINE AND LIGHT IT
