Log Cakes?!

Question:

Log Cakes?

okay, I've tried making a strawberry log cake, but as I was rolling it, it broke. This is not the first time that happens. Does anyone know any "secrets" of making a log cake without breaking it? Thanks in advance. I hope to try again.

Answers:
Roll the cake in a wet clean dish towel ( don't wet it too much just a little) while hot. Wait for it to cool then put it in the fridge and chill it for about 15 min. It would not break!!!
GOOD LUCK!!! :)>

Try chilling the baked cake thoroughly before rolling.

Roll the cake up in a clean dish towel when it is still warm. Let it cool and then unroll gently to fill.

Spread a clean, lint-free tea towel on your counter, and sprinkle it with icing sugar. When you take your cake out of the oven, invert it onto the towel. Roll it up, towel and all, while warm, and let it cool completely. Unroll, add your filling, and when you roll it up it should not break.

Good luck!
