Expiration date??!

Question:

Expiration date??

I have some jell-o pudding mix, and the kid im babysitting is excited about pudding but the expiration date is June 27, 2007, should i make it?

Answers:
Most dates on powder mixes don't mean a lot, within reason. Most likely it will lose some flavor or mixing ability with time and that's about all.

sure, it isn't expired yet.

Yeah. it is still good. make it. and save some for me. lol but you are still ok.

yeah its still good...i made jello from a thing thats was two years old...tasted great...i was fine afterwards.

Do it up.

yea its fine

yes - you're fine - there are no volitile ingredients in dried pudding mix - the date is more a suggestion.

The jell-o will be fine. The date is a suggested use by date. The stuff normally has a couple years of use, so a few days/weeks here or there won't hurt a bit.

You can still make it. Because powder products don't expire exactly the day that it's written on the products but 7-10
days later ..
The dates, for one, mean quite different things. For instance, "sell by" is more a guide for the store to know how long it can display a product for sale. The "best before" or "best if used by" date refers to a quality or flavor of the food. "Use by" works more like an expiration date, similar to that on medicines, and taking them after the date is not recommended.
