For your best quality steak, do not marinate; it will only hide the flavor of your meat. Use a dry rub of salt, pepper, paprika, and touch of garlic powder. If you like it spicy, you can dash on some red and/or cayenne pepper too.
When you are grilling, use only a spatula. You don't want to use tongs or anything that will squeeze or poke the meat. Every time it is poked or squeezed, the juices will run out of the steak and it is the juices that make it really tender. Likewise, you don't want to poke or pound the steak before you cook it.
For best results sear the meat, and then cook it slowly. To do this on a gas grill, turn the heat up high for a few minutes. Put your steaks on for about 2 minutes until you get a nice dark brown on the bottom side. Then turn your grill down to low and flip the meat. The grill will retain enough heat to sear the second side too. If you are cooking on a charcoal grill, sear the meat in a frying pan with 1 tblsp olive oil or butter.
Once the meat is seared, put it on the grill on meduim low heat. If it is charcoal grill, try to put it on the coolest corner of the grill. In either case, do not allow the fire to flare up on your meat.
Once the steak is cooked to your desired temparture, remove it from the heat and allow it to rest for 5 minutes on a cool wire rack. This will make sure the juices stay in your steak. If you put it directly on a plate, all the juice will run off into the plate. While its resting put a pad of butter on top of the steak (this can also be done in the final minutes of grilling).
Letting your steak rest may be the most important step. This is the difference you get from the meat at a really fine steakhouse and what they serve at Applebee's.
grilling is the best i think it brings out the flavor.depending on how you like your meat, i would say a few minutes on each side for medium rare.if you like your meat more done just a few more minutes are good.
well first off marinading it is most important obviously so what is simple but tasty is to drizzle some olive oil over the steaks and then rub them in canadian steak seasoning (is packaged and ready to go in the store) and let it sit for like 20 minutes and also stick either a knife or fork through it or use a meat tenderizing hammer prior to marinading it! heat the grill to a high temp and cook to your liking! Good Luck!
Only two ways good steak should be cooked..WHOLE on a charcoal grill, or on Kabobs on a charcoal grill.
And good steaks don't need marinade- the flavor of the meat is perfect as is. They also don't need tenderizing.
Cheap steaks, on the other hand, are not tender or flavorful, so these cuts need marinating to flavor & tenderize them. Start with oil & vinegar, then add what flavors you prefer.
Hey, the best way to cook a steak is to marinate it first in Italian dressing. I like the Zesty Italian dressing. Soak the steaks for at least an hour in the dressing, you can also add Worcestershire sauce to them. Then buy a good grill seasoning, I like Mesquite flavor, and sprinkle the steaks, both sides with the seasonings, grill over low heat , slowly, turning every few minutes. You will have a mouthwatering steak. Good luck!
Beef Stew.
1kg (2lb) Beef Steak.
25g (1 oz.) Flour.
S&P.
Oil.
2 Sliced onions.
1 Beef Oxo cube.
Cup boiling water.
4 Diced Potatoes.
1 Diced Carrot.
1 Diced Turnip.
Remove fat from beef and cut into bite sized pieces and rolled in seasoned flour. Brown in batches in the oil and place in a pot.
Fry off the onions and add to meat.
Add the stock cube and water and scrape all of the good bits from the fry pan and add to the meat and onions.
Stir together and bring to the boil. Reduce heat and d simmer for 2 hours.
Add diced vegetables ? hour before serving.
Let it rest out of the fridge...take the chill off. Seasoning salt.....screaming hot grill or grill pan...4 or 5 minutes on each side.... then let it rest off the heat for about 10 minutes, let the juices re-distribute. You don't need any A-1. The flavor of the meat with the seasoning salt just can't be beat. Serve it with a baked potato with cottege cheese on top. TASTY!!

I love steak. sometimes I grill, sometimes I broil.
I marinate or rub. Use your imagination.
Marinate in oil, worsh., italian seasoning, vinegar, etc. OR............
Rub with salt, pepper, any dry seasonings you want...you cant mess it up...
Then grill or place in the broiler .........depends on how you like yours cooked.........like mine medium rare.
