Help ASAP??
I'm cooking pork tenderloin at this moment it says to cook it 350 for 35 min. it's about 1 lb. how should it look? ive never cooked it before. how long should i cook it?
Answers:
About 30 minutes should be plenty...you want it to not dry out on you...be sure to let it sit about 10 minutes before slicing into it, to let the juices redistribute. The inside should not be bright pink, but should still have a hint of pink to it.
People still have the tendency to really overcook pork, due to the fact that it used to carry worms and bacteria. Pork is much safer now, and those are no longer real concerns.
Til it reaches a minimum internal temp of 140 degrees.
Do you have a meat thermometer?
If so, see what temp the meat is and go by the chart.
Good luck!
It should look light brown in the middle, golden brown on the outside. Cook it at 350 for 35 minutes, as your directions say. Make sure the oven is preheated. I'd add a little broth or water to the roasting pan and cook it covered until the last 10 minutes to keep it moist. Tenderloin can be dry.
It should not be pink on the inside and it should be cooked to until meat thermometer reads 155°-160°F, if you have a thermometer.
I cook mine on 425 for 30 minutes.. Pork doesn't take long to cook, but you want to make sure it IS cooked.
How it looks depends on how you cook it. If you cover it in foil, it won't be as brown as when not covered.
The inside temperature must be at least 160 degrees (if you have a meat thermometer).
That sounds exactly right to me and my book.
That means to put it into a pre-heated oven.
it is probably over done by now
