I need more recipes?
@ my house we have your basic food that you buy @ the grocery store once a week but we always end up making the same meals every week. im bored of it and when i look in the cook book there is always like 1 or 2 ingredients i dont have. i need a recipe that is different, but can be made with every days food instead of food you will only buy if you are planning to make that recipe the day before and go grocery shopping 4 it. and also make it quick and easy.

I hear what your saying, I have invested in alot of cookbooks and they call for odd things I do not have, If you would like to look up recipes that are great, I have yet to make anything off this site I haven't liked.

Pea & Peanut Salad
1 (40 oz.) pkg. Frozen peas
2 c. Spanish peanuts
1 1/2 c. Mayonnaise
1/2 t. Garlic powder
1. Rinse peas under cold running water in a colander to thaw; drain well.
2. Add peanuts, mayonnaise, and garlic powder; toss well. Refrigerate.
I throw together some leftover chicken (canned chicken works too, but it's not as good), some miracle whip, sweet pickle relish, any chopped nuts I happen to have around, sliced grapes, and apple chunks for an awesome chicken salad. I serve it over leaf lettuce (or even the bagged stuff) and voila, an easy, quick, amazing lunch or dinner. For a REALLY yummy treat...dust a little ground cinnamon over the top. It's also a sneaky way to get my kids to eat 1) leftovers, and 2) fresh fruit (both of which they hate!)

Easy Chicken Risotto
1 pound of chicken breast diced
1/2 onion finely diced
1 1/2 cups of Arborio rice
1 pack chicken noodle soup mix
4 cups water
1 cup frozen peas
1/2 cup cream
1 tbsp oil
1 heat oil in pan, fry chicken, mushrooms, onion until brown
2 add rice, fry for one minute
3 add soup mix and water
4 bring to boil, cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until rice is cooked
5 add peas and cook for further 5 minutes
Check on the rice during cooking, as you may need to add more water, it should be a fairly wet mixture at the end. You may not have Arborio rice.... but you need to use it for this recipe, and its so easy and delicious.
