What is the easiest way to cut a mango?!

Question:

What is the easiest way to cut a mango?

i know, with a knife..haha.
i always cut it in wedges and mess it all up.

Answers:
Cut off an entire side, slightly off center to be parallel with the pit. Score the piece with a criss cross pattern, making cubes, push the middle inward, sort of inside out and cut off the cubes. Repeat on the other side. Peel what's left and trim around the pit to get all the juicy goodness! :o)

i usually cut the mango in half and twist apart the sides

I have the same problem:

just take a big bite out of it. the skin got more vitamin c in it. just dont bite into the bone. i heard that hurts

cut the mango along the side of the seed on both sides (to remove the seed). then take your knife and cut the mango (without the seed) like you are making tic-tac-toe squares (or smaller) then flip up the mango and enjoy!

hopefully that made sense!

Just peel the mango skin and enjoy

The only way I know how to cut a mango is to cut it sideways, so it looks like you are slicing a mango into three flat pieces. You achieve this by cutting around the seed, which is also flat.
You serve the two mango halves by making criss cross cuts into the flesh, then flipping the half which exposes the flesh. You eat it with a spoon, or remove the square/diamond shaped pieces with a spoon.
What to do with the middle piece with the seed? You cut off the skin and then cut the flesh off.
I hope this doesn't sound too complicated!

I usually cut in three.

Follow the link and you'll have a picture down the page to see how it's done. It's called the "hedgehog" method.

i usually cut it in threes too. The boths side with lots of meat i would use a spoon to scoop it up. It is the neatest way to eat it ..so your whole face doesnt end up with mango! the middle part i would then peel the peel around it and lick off the seed! very yummy!

1. Hold the mango with the pointed end up, and the stalk down.

2. Pare around seed.

3. Twist the two halves in two different directions.

4. You will get two parts, one with the seed sticking out, and one cup-shaped part with a big hole where the end of the seed was.

5. Use a spoon and scoop out the flesh from the two halves.

This method can be used when one is going to eat the flesh of the mango just like that, can't be used when you need mango cubes.
