Question:

How do you make home made pumpkin seeds?

every year at holloween time since i was a kid,we would clean all the seeds out of the pumpkin looking forward to eating them. But when it was time to eat them, they weren't that good.
This year i want them to be good..lol..what do i do for that please ?

p.s...salted of course.

Answers:
Not everyone has a taste for pumpkin seeds. I may be one of them, as I never really cared for the ones my sister would make. But here are some ways I, myself, would personally choose to season them.

1.) The salty variety- rub with some oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake until golden. This is the most simple. You can also try things like Mrs. Dash, hot salt (salt that is flavored to be hot), and seasoning salt (the red-orange salt).

2.) The "savory" variety- In addition to a little salt and pepper, add some red chili pepper and some paprika. These spices are known to give things a little kick. Toast, of course, until golden.

3.) The sweet variety- Rub with a little oil, and sprinkle with a cinnamon-sugar mix. Toast, once again, as with all the others, until golden. Try this served over vanilla ice cream, perhaps? Sounds good to me.

Hope this helps out!

you have to bake them, pour a little oil and some salt on the, spread them over a cookie sheet and bake them for a bit.

you bake them

I just clean em lay em on a greased cookie sheet seperated
bake at 250 degrees about 45 min and add salt.
or you can soak them in salt first and bake either way.

First you clean out the pumpkin. Then you wash the seeds. follow it by placing them on a paper towel to naturally dry and then roast them at 350 for 20-30 min.

oh yum, the best advice I can give is to clean them really well. You have to bake them for I would say 20 minutes. Just watch them. When they are wet pour some salt on them and use your hands to coat them well. Then bake..

wash with water drain spread on cookie sheet sprinkle
with salt bake at 350 intell you desire there going to be just like when you were a kid thats the whole idea not like store boten seeds

1. Separate the seeds of a freshly carved pumpkin from the stringy membrane. Rinse the seeds just until they are free of any membrane matter.

2. Heat the oven to 350 degrees F.

3. Put the seeds on a paper towel and let them dry for a few minutes.

4. Spray a baking sheet with butter-flavored nonstick cooking spray or brush with a light coating of vegetable oil. Put the seeds on the baking sheet in a single layer, turning to coat lightly with the spray or the oil. Sprinkle the seeds lightly with salt, if desired.

5. Put the baking sheet in the oven. Cook the seeds for 10 to 20 minutes, or until brown and slightly crisp, turning once. Allow to cool before eating.

6.Store seeds in an airtight container.

No oil, dry roasting is best. Just make sure you rinse all the pumpkin off the seeds sprinkle with salt, I use fine sea salt, and roast on a cookie sheet at 350. Stir after 10 minutes to make sure they roast evenly. Continue roasting until they are golden brown.
