I for my wedding favors to be cookies with the letter "C" on them?!

Question:

I for my wedding favors to be cookies with the letter "C" on them?

I need to find a cookie that is premade (like archway or something). I need a cookie with a really smooth surface. Any suggestions. I also need to find a stencil of the letter "C". What should I use I use to dust on the stencil to make the letter? Coco powder? Colored sugar? Any ideas?

Answers:
Sugar cookies would be the best. They are really flat. You can use sugar colored to match your wedding colors and decor and dip your finger in some water, draw a "C" on the top of the cookie and sprinkle sugar on top. Gently shake off excess, and the sugar will only stick to the water. For a sweeter taste, you can dip your finger in corn syrup, too, instead of water.

I think a sugar cookie would work really well but as for the powdered sugar i think that will be a huge mess unless you are going to do it right before people get there. I think you should icing with a piping bag and spell it out yourself. If you are worried about it looking messy there are stamps that can make an out line of the letter and then you could just trace over it with the icing.

I think the icing would be a better idea then the sugar. You can also do that in you wedding colors. By the way the cookies are a neat idea I haven't seen that done yet.

royal icing colored in anyway-"C"

I agree with the others about the sugar cookies. If you can't find them pre-made then call the bakery in your local grocery store and ask if they can bake them for you. You might also be able to have the cake decorator go ahead and put the C on the cookies too.

It depends on the color of the cookie you want to use......but you can make a stencil out of coffee can lids and any exacto knife. Find a "c" in the type style you like and trace it on the lid, then cut it out using the knife. You can make a few and get somebody to help you with it if you wish. You could even use cardstock if you wanted......maybe have sugar cookies with coco powder and some chocolate cookies with powdered sugar on them. If you want to get fancy...you can make an thin icing made with powder sugar and milk and paint the stencil on and use colored sugar crystals or jimmies.......
