Is there a sugar-free version of powdered sugar?!

Question:

Is there a sugar-free version of powdered sugar?

Also, does anyone know of any substitutions for powdered sugar in candy and baking recipes.

Answers:
You can turn granulated sugar into powdered sugar simply by tossing it into the blender (or, more slowly, in the food processor.)

Commercial powdered sugar has a tad of corn starch added to keep the product from turning into one big brick.

You should be able to do the same thing with granulated sugar-free substitute.

(But sugar doesn't have many calories - only 14 per teaspoon. Are you really sure you want to put crap into your body instead of food?)

Splenda
and for candy im not sure...

that i have seen you are kind of S.O.L. (s**t outta luck) although splenda has a baking version of what they make there isn't any powdered version that i have seen, but all powdered sugar is anyways is sugar that is blended until a powder texture

Some of the Indian pharmaceuticals are manufacturing and marketing the following items: SWEETEX, EQUAL , SUGARFREE Gold.

Splenda, Canderel (but this is best in drinks or recipes as it does have an odd taste if eaten on its own, though it can be used on fruit and you do not notice the flavour apart from sweetness.)

Most of these sweeteners are sugar free, but some have a bit of sugar - so watch the labels.

Most of these also come very fine ground, but if you need it to look like icing sugar just put the required amount through a blender.

They can all be used in baking, and I expect candy, but not too sure about that. Go on their sites.

Splenda!!
