Yuck! Leftovers....?!

Question:

Yuck! Leftovers....?

Why is it that leftover meat, any meat, tastes so funny and disgusting? I usually have to throw away a great part of my leftovers because of this. This bothers me because I can't cook for the next day and find dinner ready after work! Why is it that my husband cannot notice a difference in the taste? Is anyone aware of it except for me?! If so, what do you do to make leftovers meat more appealing?

Answers:
If it's leftover steak, I slice it really thin and put it on a green salad for a bistro type lunch. Or I make a beef stew out of leftover pot roast, including the vegetables. I just cube everything up, pour over the leftover gravy and add a can or two of beef broth. I am not particularly fond of leftovers myself, I like to cook enough just for dinner so that there aren't any. My husband loves them!

do you make sure it's wrapped up good? cause we wrap our meat up and it tastes about the same the next day but over a couple days then the taste does start to fade away

Make sure the cooked meat is sealed air tight and refridgerated asap.

if your going to eat left over never put food in the fridge if it is still hot you need the food to be at room temperture and if you are going to eat it the next day you have to make sure it is served at 180' degrees that kills the bacterica, and the only other reason i can come up with that the food taste funny is it is being left out for a period of time before it is cooked

Add some spices to it. Some people are just picky eaters. I does help to store the food in the fridge as quickly as possible too.

just pour a can of cream of mushroom soup over the leftover meat, a little water, some veggies, dried thyme, and put it in a casserole dish and heat it up.
