What are some no-gallbladder-friendly cookie recipes? My mom doesn't have her gallbladder, but she wants chocolate chip cookies, so what would be a good recipe?

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:
1 cup whole wheat pastry flour
1 cup spelt flour
1 3/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or malt-sweetened chocolate chips
*1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1 teaspoon aluminum-free baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
*1/2 cup walnut oil or grapeseed oil
3/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Prep:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line two dry baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients. In a smaller bowl, whisk together wet ingredients. Pour wet ingredients into the dry mixture.
Stir to incorporate. Using a tablespoon, spoon batter onto the baking sheets.
Bake 15-20 minutes, until edges are lightly browned.

I had gall bladder surgery myself, so I know about this! Any cookie recipe will work. You would of had to be extrememly careful about 'fatty' buttery things before she had surgery. Now, just use your favorite. She'll be fine.

tell your mom to ask the doc for meds for her tummy i had mine out and all i had was hart burn all the time,this can eventualy cause cancer in the esaphigus so she must tell the doc to give her somthing for the problem and then she can eat what ever she likes and usualy with one dose of meds i eat everything and its ok have her call him tomorrow and he may just call it in to the pharmacy for her ,,otherwise i dont know anything that is ok its all in the baking soda people just dont know to ask the doc for the right meds its sad the docs dont just ask.... when they know people have had this operation

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
Makes about 4 dozen
Pre: 10 min; Bake 8 to 10 minutes per sheet; Cool: 2 minutes
Betty Crocker's cookbook

Ingredients:

3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 packed brown sugar
1 cup butter or stick margarine, softened*
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 large egg
2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour**
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup coarsely chopped nuts
1 bag (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips (2 cups)

Methods:

1. Heat oven to 375 degree.

2. Beat sugars, butter, vanilla, and egg in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with spoon. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.

3. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.

4. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). Cool 1 to 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.

Note:

*Butter or margarine: Spreads with at least 65% vegetable oil can be used.

** Flour: If using self-rising flour, omit baking soda and salt.
