ingredients in making dried mango

Answers:
Use a dehydrator, or cookie sheets in the oven. You want a temp of 135F. If you like commercial brands, they were probably soaked/dipped in a sugar-water or syrup solution to make sure they're nice and sweet. I prefer them and other fruits without any added sugar. The hardest part with mango is getting decent chunks or slices out of it. You can probably leave in dehydrator or oven overnight to dry - that's what I usually do. You may want to flip the pieces over about halfway through the drying cycle.

If you're worried about the color changing (a lot of veggies and fruits turn sort of brown during drying), dip them in some water with ascorbic acid in it. The easiest way to do that is buy a bottle of cheap Vitamin C tablets and toss 2 - 4 of them in a bowl of water, let them dissolve, then dip your fruit in that. The ascorbic acid will interfere with/prevent the browning.

A large mango... split down the middle ... and a 1700 watt hairdryer... walla... Dried mango !!! :)

if you slice fresh mango then dip it in a lemon sugar syrup. then lay it on a cake rack in the oven on the lowest heat or just the pilot light for 24 hours, this should be great. then keep it in a airtight conntainer

You need a dehydrator, buy one at Walmart. Cut up the mango and put it in the dehydrator and follow the instructions. Man it is good! Intense flavor.

The secret is the Mango not the drying process.
The best variety of mango are from the Philippines.
