Do I need to refridgerate cream cheese frosting?!

Question:

Do I need to refridgerate cream cheese frosting?

I just made key lime cream cheese frosting. I will take it to work tomorrow morning. Do I need to refridgerate it overnight? Thanks!

Answers:
Yes.

Yes, because it is made of creamcheese. It will spoil (because the creamcheese can perish) if its left out overnight.

Good Luck!

yes

yes for it could stay fresh

Yes, absolutely!

yes..

oh yes, definately.

Yes, you do need to refrigerate it...I wish I worked with you, that sounds yummy=)

It is best to refrigerate frostings with dairy products, so yes. However, the world won't end if you don't. This is a bit of a gray area as people frost cakes with it every day and sit them on the countertop to serve, leaving them out for days at a time.

I digress....refrigerate it.

Oh, and pass on that recipe! Sounds DIVINE!!

i think it'll be fine.

yes

yes, cheese needs cold to keep it fresh

Yes, since it is a dairy product it may spoil, and if you live in a warmer climate it will also melt.

it depends you can stablisze it with 1/2 teaspoon of cream of tartar other wise yes you need to fridgerate

Ya, I would. you wouldn't want cream cheese to sit out all night would you? ick

Yes you need to refrigerate it or it will taste funky and it is a dairy product so it needs to be kept cold.
