How can I decorate spiderman cup cakes?!

Question:

How can I decorate spiderman cup cakes?

My little boy is turning 4 this Sunday. I want to take some cup-cakes to his Sunday School class to share with the children there. He has insisted on Spiderman cupcakes - how on earth do I decorate cupcakes to be spiderman cupcakes??? Do you have any ideas or have you seen anything on the web that looks good?

Answers:
Here's pictures of spider web cupcakes. Do yours in spider man colors.

put some icing( black or whatever color) in a ziplock bag- then cut off a small tip. Pipe around the cupcake in circles. Take a toothpick and draw lines from the center through the lines it will smear the lines and look like a spider web. You could frost the cupcakes in red and do the lines in blue or black. I do this for spider cakes at halloween. Enjoy the birthday

Probably the easiest way would be to use red food colour for icing and make web patterns with black icing. Maybe use flavoring but I'm not sure how licorice would taste with cherry or strawberry.

Find black decorative icing (or black licorice strings) and make spiderwebs on white cupcakes, take red candies, and red licorice string for the legs. Unless you want to go really big and have them hand-painted by an artist,? I didn't think so. Take Spiderman napkins and find the little party favors at Walmart or Target and put them with the cupcakes and use a Spiderman tablecloth.. Maybe pray that God's okay with it, might be a good idea.

you could decorate them with little spider webs [red icing blue web] or even go full out and re create a mini spiderman head. The head is basically just the eyes, and you could get an exaple on yahoo images in under a second.[ red icing and blue icing eyes] good luck and have fun=)

Use red Icing, Then make web shapes out of licorice on the tops.

use of a spider web would be one idea, or of the spidey symbol on his chest. but I am sure that they have the eatable cupcake decorating sets for spidey somewhere. (Craft stores)

Very dark frosting, and a spider done in red. Not a web, but a spider. Easy enough. Take this SP3 spider logo and do it in red:

This site has a good image of spiderman cupcakes.
www.kraavings.com Also, I believe Walmart's bakery sells a group of cupcakes decorated in a spiderman theme. I saw that in a recent flyer. Have a nice party!

one thing that is cute...is instead if decorating the cupcakes with icing use party favors. if you go to your local store and check out the party section and they should have like spider-man rings and stuff that you could put on the cup cakes. maybe you could frost them in white and make like webbing on it and then put a spider man ring on top.

even something like this would be cute...but if you go to the very bottom of the web page i sent you they have the cupcake toppers..that would be the easiest thing to use...good luck. what every you use will be great!!!

on one side of the cupcake put blue icing on the other put red, and then get a bag of the little black spider rings and press it down in the middle of the cake, you could also bake them in the little paper cups decorated with spiderman already

The Wilton's website has some great ideas:

You could do any of these
-make little webs on them (maybe get spider rings on top?)
-make little spider-man faces
-make them into spiders with licorice or some type of kegs
-make little spiders on it with sprinkles and put spiderman sign?
