HOw make colour layers in drink?!

Question:

HOw make colour layers in drink?

I saw a nice drink at a restaurant, it had colours layers, which mixed after stirred. How make the liquid separate?

Answers:
OK here is long and short of it.

There are many ways to layer drinks.
1. Frozen drinks >margaritas et cetera<. You mix the individual colors sperately, then pour gently in the desired order. >example: Margarita, daquiri, mudslides

2. Liquid weights and viscosity.
A. Someliquids weigh differently, so some liquids will "float" on top of others>like wood<, or will sink >like sandexample: Tequila sunrise
B. Viscosity or thickness of liquids can play the same roll...the thicker liquid being unable to penetrate the other liquid it is pored on top will again "float". Other nifty viscosity tricks are the infused drinks, ask for a bloody brain sometime, it is a red cinnamon or other red liquor, preferably schnapps with a very thick irish cream liquor poured into, the ribbons of the cream are unable to seperate, causing a brain looking glob sitting in the middle of a shot glass surrounded by red. >example: bloody brains, snot shots

3. Incompatible compositions, simple...oil and water theory, some liquids are simply not mixable and will seperate in the glass. >example: red eyes, hair of the dog >both made with raw eggs

it has to do with the density of the liquids. the heaviest goes on bottom.

you create the layers by pouring each liqour seperately and slowly over a back of a tablespoon
