How do you cook Bacon in the microwave?
What power setting would you use, and for how long?

I bought a bacon tray at a housewares store that goes in the microwave. Place your bacon on the tray (it has grooves on it so the fat can drip away from the bacon) and cover with a paper towel. My microwave usually takes about five minutes to make the bacon crispy but all microwaves are different so keep checking yours and make sure you don't burn it.
Simply put a paper towel both on top and underneath the bacon, then cook on high for approx 2 min.
Place the bacon on a double layer of paper towels then cover with 1-2 more layers of paper towels on top. I usually cook about 6 slices at a time and it usually takes about 5 minutes. Hope this helps.
I wouldn't suggest "cooking" bacon in the microwave. Its a good way to end up with slimy soggy bacon. It probably isn't sanitary either. I would only suggest warming up precooked bacon in there.
I use the paper towel trick and go one minute for every strip on an 8 out of 10 heat setting. Check for the degree of doneness you desire after four minutes.
Lots of paper towels makes for crispier bacon because more fat is wicked away!
well your not suppose to cook meats in the microwave because they come out tasting like crap
I don't 'play with a loaded gun'...
Protein should never be microwaved, for several reasons:
#1. The microwaves actually change the structure of the protein, making it toxic / carcinogenic.
#2. Animal protein often has parasites, & the microwaves don't evenly distribute throughout, so that one can never know if the parasites have all been killed.
#3. The pork parasite: "Trichinella" , is quite difficult to kill even with even heat distribution. If ingested live, it can migrate through one's body --even to the brain-- & cause cysts in the brain. These cysts can cause terrible problems, even death... It is NOT advisable to risk becoming infected!
