Help with recipe?!

Question:

Help with recipe?

I just read a recipe that said 1/4 cup half and half...

What on earth is half & half?

Thanks

Answers:
I think it refers to a product that is half milk, and half cream. Does that make sense?

It's a type of coffee creamer i think.

its like creamer. U can find it in the milk aisle. ;-)

Half milk, half cream.

A good substitute would be 1/8 cup whole milk and 1/8 cup heavy or double cream.

Its found in the dairy aisle, it's comprised of half whole milk and half heavy cream. People may use it in their coffee but it's not actually a coffee creamer. A good substitue for this would be canned evaporated milk.
