Can you boil an egg in oil?!

Question:

Can you boil an egg in oil?

Has anyone tried this?

Answers:
you can boil egg immersed in flour

i havent tried this but i dont think it would boil ......... oil has a very boiling point . it would take a lot of time

boiling in oil is deep frying. technically you can; i can't see the point of doing it but i think you can.

I haven't tried it. I'm sure it can be done but why would you want to try? Using water is easier and less dangerous than oil.

Why? Have you run out of water? Or do you mean fried?

and why would you??????

you can boil a egg with water and oil it makes it easy to peel

you certainly can, you can really make crispy fried egg this way!!

No you cant. If you were to try and "boil" oil and drop an egg in. It would most surely break the egg and you would end up with a huge mess. With out the shell...would just fry it.

That would actually be frying the egg, wouldn't think it would be any good. Go ahead and try it, let all know how that works out for you
