Ok guys and girls, I give you the opp to end my family's debate!
What is the best way to cook: pork spare ribs (the fibrous meat w/bones). I say sear, then bake.....and sauce? rubs? spices?

I agree....always cook the meat then add the sauces to the end.
As far as rubs and spices go, they alway go on first so that they enhance the flavor of the meat as it cooks.
Steps: 1. Season, 2. Cook, 3. Sauce
Crock pot with a tiny bit of water for 6-8 hours. Then to the grill with sauce. Falls off the bone!
