Would anybody happen to know of a store that sells toffee bits?
I'm trying to make a cake and the recipe requires toffee bits but I haven't been able to find any.
Answers:
If you can't find any you can always smash up some Heath bars and make your own. I've found that the "bits" don't taste as good as the smashed bars. Hope this helps.
Walmart. Right next to the chocolate chips in the baking aisle.... They're made by the same company that does the Heath bar. Hope this helps!
safeway, winco, costco, and wal-mart sell them
for me locally I use walmart and publix They both have the toffee baking bits on and off
Not sure where you are but most grocery stores sell toffee bits in the baking aisles. Look near the chocolate chips.
I have found them at my local grocery store in the same aisle as the chocolate chips. If you can't find them there, try buying some toffee candy bars and crushing them.
toffee is super simple to make
all you need is sugar/water let boil to hardcrack stage then add butter.
homemade is the best plus you get leftover and spread over nuts.
JUST TO DIE FOR :)
i know for sure..randalls has them

Any grocery store in the baking isle has them. Some of them even carry HEATH brand toffee bits.
If you want to buy them online, try here:

Otherwise you can ask your local grocery store if they can get Hershey Toffee Bits.
(Otherwise get toffee bars, put them in a ziplock, and hit it with the back of a pan. This always works, too!)
Any grocery store. In the section where they have the baking stuff. Near the chocolate, peanut butter and butterscotch chips. If you still can't find them, here's a recipe for toffee (to break into small bits, put chunks in a ziplock bag and pummel with a rolling pin
INGREDIENTS:
1 pound butter
1 pound sugar
nuts
PREPARATION:
Melt butter. Add sugar and cook until the mixture turns to light brown. It will turn yellow first. Be patient. When it gets to the hard crack stage [300° to 310°], pour into a buttered pan. Add chopped walnuts, or any nuts. Butter waxed paper and place on cookie sheets. Pour mixture onto the waxed paper and let harden and then crack into pieces.
