Wacky Cocoa Cake recipe?

I was wondering if anyone had a recipe for a Wacky Cocoa cake? My friend makes this wonderful cake and has promised me forever to make me one but won't. I'm just wondering if anyone else knows of it so I can make my own.

WACKY COCOA CAKE

3 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. water
3/4 c. vegetable oil
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. vinegar

Combine flour, cocoa, salt, sugar, and soda in large mixing bowl. Add water, oil, vanilla, and vinegar. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed until thoroughly blended. Pour batter into a greased and floured 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.

WACKY CAKE WITH COCOA FUDGE FROSTING

1 1/2 c. all purpose flour (sift before measuring or use presifted)
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. cold water
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/3 c. vegetable oil

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Sift the flour, cocoa, sugar, salt and soda together in a mixer bowl. Add the vinegar, vanilla, water and oil to the flour mixture. Beat the batter at a moderate speed for 2 minutes. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9 inch square cake pan and bake for about 40 minutes, or until the cake springs back when touched in the center. Allow to cool and ice in the pan with the following icing. Makes 16 pieces.
Calories: 1 serving = 110 calories. Fat Controlled Diet: 1 serving = 3 grams fats. Diabetic and Calorie controlled diet: 1 serving = 1 bread exchange 1 fat exchange. Sodium controlled diet: Prepared as directed omitting salt 1 serving = 63 milligrams sodium.


1/2 lb. powdered sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1/4 c. softened butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. water
1/4 c. white corn syrup

Combine the powdered sugar, cocoa, butter and vanilla in a mixer bowl. Combine the water and syrup and heat them to simmering, but do not boil. Add the hot syrup to the sugar mixture and beat at a low speed for 3 minutes or until smooth and glossy. It is best to use this frosting while it is still warm. Makes icing for 2 (9 inch) square cakes (32 pieces).

NO - EGG WACKY CAKE

1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. water
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. soda
1/4 c. butter, melted
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. vinegar

Mix all ingredients in order, adding one at a time. Beat 2 minutes. Double recipe for 9 x 13 inch pan. Grease and flour pan. Pour into pan. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Spread with the following icing:

WACKY ICING:

Mix and beat 2 minutes:

1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. shortening
1 tbsp. milk

1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg white, unbeaten

Beat 2 minutes. Spread on cooled cake above.

WACKY CAKE OR BLACK BOTTOM BROWNIES

Mix in pan you bake in:

1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
4 tbsp. Baker's cocoa
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Make 3 holes in sifted ingredients. To first hole, add 1/3 c. Crisco oil. To second hole, add 1 tablespoon vinegar. To third hole add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Add 1 cup cold water over all of that. Stir well with fork until blended. Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 325 degrees for glass; 350 degrees for 8 or 9 inch tin pans.

This is also the base for Black Bottom Brownies. You will also need:


1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt

Spoon on top of wacky cake. Bake and enjoy!

1 lb. Pure Columbian uncut Cocoa

WACKY COCOA CAKE

3 c. unsifted flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. Hershey's cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. water
3/4 c. vegetable oil
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. vinegar

Combine dry ingredients in large mixing bowl. Add last 4 ingredients and blend with mixing beater until blended well. Pour batter into a greased floured pan (13 x 9 x 2 inches). Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until center comes out clean.

This is truly the easiest chocolate cake recipe I know. You can make the batter in the time it takes the oven to preheat. You'll need regular,unsweetened cocoa powder for this recipe. The cake turns out very moist, very chocolatey, and not especially sweet, and keeps well at room temperature for 2 days, if tightly covered. Enjoy!

Wacky Cocoa Cake -
Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
3 heaping tablespoons cocoa
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon vinegar
6 tablespoons melted butter or oil
1 cup cold water

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Sift dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl. Make 3 depressions with spoon. Place vanilla in one depression, vinegar in another and butter in the third. Pour cold water over all and stir clockwise till properly mixed.

3. Use an 8 inch by 8 inch sized pan sprayed with nonstick spray or lined with baking paper.

4. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until centre of cake springs back when touched gently.

Serve warm or cold.

Makes 9-12 servings

1 cup water, cold

1. Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, soda and salt.
2. Make three wells in the flour mixture.
3. In one put vanilla; in another the vinegar, and in the third the oil.
4. Pour 1 c cold water over all and stir.
5. No need to beat.
6. Pour into 8 x 8-inch pan.
7. Bake at 350 degrees F oven until it springs back.
