Can you use wax paper in the oven to bake with?!

Question:

Can you use wax paper in the oven to bake with?

I wanna line my baking dish with the wax paper....Is that do-able?

Answers:
Wax paper can be used to line baking sheets in the oven, just be careful not to leave any overhanging because it will burn. If you're trying to bake something on a cookie sheet, why not try a silpat? You can find them at most kitchen supply stores and they are perfect for non stick baking. Each silpat is a sheet of woven fiberglass and will withstand any oven temperatures. Best part - when you remove your baking sheet from the oven, slide the silpat with your cookies off of the baking sheet (which is holding all the heat), so your cookies will cool within minutes.

yes--my mom always lines pans with wax paper when making christmas cakes

Yes, you can. But don't get it too close to the heating element. Aluminum foil is really the most ideal thing to use in the oven.

Yes, wax paper is a good way to make things not stick to the pan. I work in a bakery and we use it for just about everything.

Absolutely! Wax paper is the new aluminum foil! Use it the same as you would aluminum foil. Though check the wax paper box because I believe the food should only be touching one side (either the shiny or dull side of the paper).
Studies have shown that using wax paper is much healthier than aluminum foil, which has chemicals on it that transfer into the food.

NO You would be better off using plain white paper from the computer.
Look a little closer when you get your Waxed paper Or foils & plastic wrap They may have parchment paper.
If not request it.

yes of course i do that all the time when i'm baking cookies
