Question:

Are there any vanilla frosting recipes that involve simple ingrediants?

i dont think i have confectioners sugar

Answers:
You can put regular sugar in the blender and whirl for a little bit, and it is a substitute for powdered sugar. Mix with soft butter or margarine, add some vanilla extract and a tiny bit of milk. If it's too soft, add a bit more sugar; if its a bit thick, add a drop more of milk.

Or you could frost with Cool Whip or whipped cream whipped up with a little sugar and vanilla (powdered sugar, though).

Confectioners sugar usually makes the icing sweet. It's also known as powder/ powdered sugar.

You could try this: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/quick-vanil...

this one is yummy and easy to make...

Pudding Icing

1 envelope Topping mix, such as Dream Whip
1 -- 4 ounce box of Instant Pudding Mix, any flavour
1-1/2 cups milk
1/2 tsp vanilla

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Mix to moisten. Beat about 5 minutes until mixture will stand in peaks. Makes about 4 cups.

Variations: The lemon instant pudding mix works good. Also the butter pecan. And the vanilla is very versatile. Just try them all to decided your favourite. I like using chocolate instant pudding... YUM YUM!!
