What is the best method of getting burnt smoke smell out of a microwave?!

Question:

What is the best method of getting burnt smoke smell out of a microwave?

I messed up big time! I cooked an artichoke for longer than it should have been cooked in the micro and created a stinky situation. Any ideas on how to make it smell normal again?
Thanks!

HELLO HOPE I HELP......whenever my microwave gets wierd i put half a lemon in a microwavable bowl with boiling water (about half full) and put it on high for around 4-5minutes then take bowl out and wipe inside of microwave with sponge or towels. the steam helps loosen any grease and the lemon makes it smell great hope this works for you as well as it does for me.

baking soda always works for mine, dont cook it just leave it in there when you dont use it. good luck

buy another microwave

use lysol with bleach kitchen spray then rince the inside with water

maybe try vanilla fridge spray, it gets yucky smells out of fridges

burnt microwave smell is pretty bad tho, my friend did it at work and they gave her the microwave it was that bad...

mix some poop and Tabasco sauce in a tray. heat to simmering

open a window or put a fan next to it on high.

Leave a box of baking soda in the microwave for a couple of days. Try running the fan while the baking soda is in there, but without cooking the baking soda.

the best thing to get get the smell out of your microwave is to put a potato in a owl of water and nuke it for four minutes on the high level chavisjoan@yahoo.com

Place a lemon in a dish of water and heat it for about 2 minutes... then dab a paper towel in the water and clean the microwave off... works like a charm.

a bowl of vinegar. Just let it set. The vinegar absorbs the odor.

Try water with lemon juice which is a good neutralizer. I've never tried using lemon juice for your situation but I'm guessing it would help.

Scrub with dishwashing liquid first, then rinse, and use soda and scrub with a Teflon scrubber. Finally, spray with Windex and paper towel dry. Usually will take most of it out.

take a wet rag and wipe it out it should go away

1 lemon cut in half in water in a pyrex or other container, boiled for at 6 minutes...........or more......willl do the trick
