Question:

Any one out there using grass-fed beef? is it that much tastier?

Answers:
Grass fed beef is supposably gamier, more like wild meat. I notice only a subtle difference. Eating grass-fed beef is one way to avoid feedlot animals. Grass fed beef is raised in traditional methods out on the open range. It is not fattened up being force fed grain and a witches brew concoction of antibiotics, growth hormones, drugs and vitamins. These animals on factory feedlots stand up to their knees in their own waste very close to each other and would be killed by disease except for the drugs they are fed.

Grass fed beef is good for your health and more humane to the animals.

When you buy beef at the supermarket. You get both. Sometimes grass fed beef has yellower fat. Tastes pretty much the same. I prefer mine finished on heavy grain, more marbling (equals more taste).

It's tough and flavorless.

I stick with corn fed (Black Angus or Rancher's Reserve).
