How do ballparks make their hotdogs taste so good?!

Question:

How do ballparks make their hotdogs taste so good?

Whenever I go to a baseball game (AA) I have to get the hot dogs, because they are SO GOOD. I don't ever make hot dogs at home because they taste NOTHING like them. It's almost like a completely different meat or something.

It's hard to describe th difference, but at the ballpark, the dogs taste lighter or something...like not as thick, and not as strong of a "baloney" taste. It can't just be the hotdog either, because this is how they are at all ballparks, I've been to Mets games and a Dodger game and the AA games...

Does anyone know the secret, and how I could make them taste this way at home?

No at the AA ballpark I usually go to they advertise using Ballpark Turkey Franks. I bought the same kind, different ballpark kinds, three or four other kinds, and nothing tastes the same. I've tried frying, boiling, grilling, everything.

In fact, the only hotdog I've had at home that tasted good is when I grilled these expensive hotdogs from Omaha Steaks on my charcoal grill. They were delicious, still not as good, but very good.

No Kevin, it's not psychological. I've had hotdogs at the AHL games and they're not nearly as good. It has nothing to do with where I eat them, it's HOW GOOD THEY TASTE.

Although I agree they are yummy, I'm thinking we don't really want to know what makes them that way!!

Maybe you are buying a different brand? You can't really tell if they are doing anything to them unless you compare the same brand at home and at the ball park.

Baseball, beer and hot dogs can't be copied at home. I've tried.

It's all about the brand. Nathan's and Sabrett are the best. Also, you can try boiling them for awhile instead of grilling or microwaving them.

Some parks really take pride in cooking up an extra special hot dog. However, the difference is largely psychological. The hot dog is part of the experience. You bought the hot dog because the game wouldn't be complete without it.

They do warm the bun along with the hot dog, which keeps the bun from getting soggy. But, in general, there is nothing particularly special about it.

Hebrew National.. Most ball parks sell them.. They are the absolutely the best ever..... Once you have one you'll never want another.. There that good.....

most likely it is in the way they cook it, which they probablly wont tell you.

AND JUST JOKINGLY
it's the fact that they use more rat droppings, and cats and dogs to make the hot dogs. hahahaha
