Im having trouble tasting food. Whats wrong with me?!

Question:

Im having trouble tasting food. Whats wrong with me?

Answers:
You may be coming down with a cold.

I also heard recently that people with depression have trouble tasting certain flavours.

Brush you tongue when you brush your teeth, and if you smoke then stop. That's all I can suggest

How's your sense of smell right now? I actually had a teacher once who could taste hardly anything due to problems which ruined his sense of smell.

When I was young and I hated the taste of something, I would always plug my nose when I ate it. That way I couldn't taste it. I would say that something is wrong with your nose or nose area.

You could have a deficiency of the mineral Zinc. Often our soils are low in this mineral due to intensive farming and therefore it is difficult to obtain high enough levels from diet alone.

Try eating oysters & seafood, pumpkin seeds (green pepitas), sunflower seeds, whole grains and dried beans, organic eggs and nuts such as almonds, pecans and hazelnuts.

It can take a few months for the sense of smell and taste to improve. You can speed it up by taking Zinc as a tablet. Try around 25-50mg daily after food or see a naturopath or nutritionist.
