Pizza base? Like Dough or do you mean the marinara sauce?

Or do you mean a base made of pizzas?

Try this one out for a basic pizza base. Its easy and quite foolproof and turns out very well every time -

Ingredients:
2 teaspoons (7grams) dried yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
? teaspoon salt
? cup (180ml) warm water (make sure its not too hot)
2? cups (375g) plain flour
2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions:

1. Combine the yeast, sugar, salt and warm water in a small bowl and cover. Keep it in warm place for about 20 minutes or until mixture is frothy.

2. Combine flour and oil in large bowl; stir in yeast mixture, mix to a soft dough. Knead dough on floured surface about 10-15 minutes till smooth and elastic.

3. Place dough in large oiled bowl, cover; stand in warm place about 1 hour or until dough doubles in size.

4. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 200 degrees C.

5. Turn dough onto floured surface and knead until smooth.

6. Divide dough in half; using rolling pin, flatten dough and roll each half out to a 32cm round.

7. Carefully lift each round onto oiled pizza pan or oven tray; cover each with desired toppings.

8. Bake uncovered at 160-180 degrees C for 20 minutes.

This basic pizza dough recipe makes two bases and each pizza will serve four people.

Hope this helps.
