I just want to make something other then plain white cake. Wondering what I can mix in to make something else.

Answers:
Leave out 1 or 2 of the egg whites and add canned peach juice, the sweet kind, it will moisten and flavor the cake. Use the peaches in the can with a little more sugar and make a chunky glaze to put on top when its cooked.

Add a can of diet soda....something light in color and with flavor-like orange, grape or raspberry. 10oz of the soda is all you will need-leave out the oil and the eggs. Trust me that its moist and super yummy plus all the calories you have cut out.

Divide it in half, add unsweetened cocoa to one half, make up the two kinds of batter and put into pan in laternating spoonfuls - voila, marble cake.

Add some sour cream, put half the batter in a pan, add any fruit (blueberries are nice) add the rest of the batter and top with crumble mixture (butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, maybe a little flour and/or oatmeal) -and you will have a nice coffee cake.

Add 1/2 cup oil and 2 eggs to cake mix, then drop ontp greased cookie sheet in spoonfuls, bake at 350 for 8-9 minutes - cake mix cookies! (can use any flovir of mix BTW)

Use maraschino cherry juice for part of the liquid in the mix, and add chopped cherries to the batter. It's pretty with a fluffy white frosting..

add three tablespoons of cream de mint to batter. Then top cake with fudge ice cream topping and then top that with cool whip with three more tablespoons of cream de mint mixed in to the cool whip.

You can add almost anything edible to white cake mix. You might not want to add raw hamburger, I haven't tried, but it might be a little or a lot gross. If you reduce the liquid the recipe calls for quite a bit you could make cookies.

The next time you buy a cake mix pick something other than white, there are quite a few different flavors. If you are using a cookbook, there are lots of alternatives.

Just wondering, why do you make white cake batter if you want something else?

You can mix 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon allspice and a 1/4 teaspoon of cloves to make a spice cake.

To the cake mix just add the oil, and eggs, add a can of mixed fruit juice and all, and a half bag of real coco chips, mix all together. then sprinkle the rest of the chips on top of the cake in the pan bake as usual I call this surprise cake because it was a way to get my kids to eat fruit.

If it is a chocolate cake mix you can add mashed cooked beats. put a can of beats in a processor or blender and make them smooth add them to the cake along with the eggs, oil and water. Sneaky way to get your family to eat beats.

You can add shredded carrots, Cinnamon and raisins (if you like then) to make a carrot cake, use your best judgment as to the amounts.

my aunt makes a really good jello cake she uses strawberry jello and then she tops it with whipped cream and puts strawberries and bananas on top i usually do the same but i make mine with blueberries and strawberries. you could also try adding some flavored extract like almond, amaretto or something like that and top it with cream cheese icing and maybe some slivered almonds or marachino cherries

This is one of my favorites. In a 9X13 pan ( spray with baking spray ) put canned peach 1/2s pit side down. Cover with your white cake batter ( or angel food cake batter ). Bake according to pkg. directions. When cool turn upside down. Serve in squares with one peach 1/2 per square. Top with whipped cream. This is really easy and very good.
