Depending on what potato recipe you want... make it more clear please...do you want fried potatoes, mashed, au gratin???

Do you mean mashed?
Boil 6-8 peeled potatoes (cut in half or quarters)in water with a bit of salt. Mash with margarine or butter(1/4 cup). Add 1/4 cup milk and continue to mash. Not too much milk or else they will be cold and taste nothing! Add salt and pepper to taste.

put potatoes in pan of water either peeled or unpeeled, bring to boil and simmer for 20 mins, drain and eat,if you want to mash them, drain after boiling and mash with a masher adding ,if you like butter, milk, pepper[I dont add any of these just mash until they are naturally creamy]

how are you wanting the potatoes? boiled potatoes in butter? baked potatoes? potatoes and snap beans? fried potatoes(aka french fries)? mashed potatoes? sweet potatoes?

do you want a baked potato? how 'bout fried potatos? potatos al'grauten? hash browns? mashed potatos? new potatos in butter?

um clarify please?

thuroghly wash spuds first, then peel or leave skin on. boil until soft. put boiled potatos in big mixing bowl. add a bunch of butter, milk if you got it, (just a little), and mash 'em up really good! salt and pepper to taste. serve. bonapatiteeeeee!

Toss mushrooms with noodles and season to taste. Serves 8.

And Here's another one

HOMEMADE POTATO SOUP WITH DUMPLINGS

Mix ingredients until it forms a smooth dough ball. With fork, scrape off the dough into medium pieces into soup. They usually harden in the soup quickly. Test to be sure.

scalloped pot caned milk or milk salt pepper cover oven about 375 45 min or until soft

add a can of cheddar cheese soup and some grated cheese and you have augrautin pot

Boil you some water on top of the stove, put you potato's in.let them boil until they get soft check by poking with a fork peel and mash.I like to peel my potato's before I put them in water .it seems kind of hard to peel after they've been boiled.when finished add salt and pepper to your taste if desired.

2 pounds of Russet, Yukon Gold, or long brown potatoes (personally I love the Yukon Gold)
1 tablespoon of salt, plus more to taste
1 cup of milk or cream
4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
1/4 teaspoon of ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
What you do:

Peel and cut the potatoes into 1-2 inch cubes. Place in a medium pot and cover with cold water; add 1 tablespoon of salt.
Place over a low heat and let simmer until fork tender. Drain potatoes using a colander. Put potatoes into a bowl. Using an hand held electric beater mix potatoes on medium high speed until most of the lumps have disappeared; about 1 minute. Add butter; mix until blended. On low speed add hot milk in a slow and steady stream; then add pepper, nutmeg, and salt to taste. Mix to combine.

i cook my potatoes till a knife just goes into them.
dain realy good.
them mash slightly ..
then add a tablespoon butter..mix well..
then add milk...
when i don't want to use milk or don't have any
i put a beaten egg in my mash or i put in a little sour cream...
try also putting in a little bit of herbs .

Always rinse your potatoes before you peel them. Make sure that you get all the skin off and the dark spots. Cut them up into bite size pieces and make sure the pan you are using is big enough to hold them. Depending on how many people you are going to feed is how many potatoes to use. Usually one potatoe per person. Put a little salt on them and then add the water. After they start to boil check on them and stir them once in a while and when a fork can easily go through them they are done. Drain all the water off them and then put them back into the pan. Add butter (the amount is up to you) and mash them really good, then take a hand beater and whip them good until there are no lumps left. You can use canned milk( it tastes better if you do). With the milk add it until the potatoes are as stiff or fluffy as you like. It is pretty easy to do.

You can also make mashed potatoes with chicken broth too. Just cook the potatoes as normal in chicken broth intead of water..then drain the chicken broth in something, then mush up the potatoes and use the chicken broth as milk. Add butter..YUM

if you use evaporated milk add 2 tablespoons of water ,and 1 heaping tablespoon of hellmans mayo.

you cut them up then sprikle cheese on them and fri them in a pan.

Girl this is an easy one...
Cut the potatoes in to small pieces, like alphabet block size. put them in water for about 20 min or so..or until you can pick up with a fork.
Strain out the water and put in mixing bowl. Add about half cup of milk and or sour cream.Depending on the amount of potatoes you are using. This is all up to you but to flavor them now is highly suggested. You can add dill or garlic or any kind of flavor. Mix with a mixer or a smasher..until desired consistency. But you don't want them too liquid, they should be like thick oatmeal.
Good luck...practice makes perfect.

Yes you can I have done it, just add some as you stir you don't what to make them runny. plus you can not put milk in them just add butter or Kraft Salad Dressing it is the greatest in Mashed potatoes

Boil your potatoes.
Mash with chicken, vegetable, or beef stock to moisten.
Add a lot of garlic!
If you have a bit of sharp cheddar cheese, grate that in as well!
Salt and pepper should be added by the diners.

Sure......evaporated milk with equal parts water makes whole milk.
Use at least one stick of margerine or butter.
Don't forget salt & pepper.
Whip with a hand mixer for "creamed potatoes"
Red potatoes are great mashed & you can leave the skin on.

enjoy
