How can I measure a Cup?!

Question:

How can I measure a Cup?

I know this sounds silly but I need to measure a cup of peanut butter and half a cup of sugar to make peanut butter cookies (will post the recipie after) but I don't have those Cup measures... I don't know how much roughly one is, if you know in millilitres or whatever I can see if I have a cup the right size, if you see what I mean?

250 ml in metric
8 oz or 14 grams

just fill a cup

Ask Jeeves he knows all!

It's a CUP!

About three quarters of a mug!

use a regular sized coffee cup works for me

With a measuring cup...

Check and see how much peanut butter the jar has a cup is 8oz good luck, Please send me some cookies I love those.

1/2 cup equals 120ml
1 cup equals 240 ml

Any cup or mug will do,just make sure you fill to the same place using the same cup/mug for each ingredient.

4 Tbl = 1/4 C
8 Tbl = 1/2 C
OOps
forgot to ask what planet your on
1 TBL =15ml

This may sound like a messy answer, but since you're cooking , your hands will need to be clean any way between each step, so. . . .a cup of peanut butter will be approximately a very full palm, while a half a cup of sugar will be a spare half palm of your hand. The more you cook, the more easily you will be able to "eye-ball" your measurements. Good luck.

its 225 liters if that helps...a normal size drinking glass is normally around 1 cup also a cup has 16 tablespoons.

8oz, 1/4liter, 1/2pint, 250ml, 2.5dl, and 16 tablespoons . all of these r equal 2 a cup. hope it helps.

you use a measuring cup. like it's 250 mL and that

A cup is 8 oz. so a half of cup would be four. There are4tablespoons in a 1/4 cup so a half would be 8 and a cup 16

use a 12 oz. soda can- a cup is 8 oz. so fill it by eyeballing the can (if you split it into thirds..1/3 would be 4 oz, 2/3 would be 8 oz.- or you can use any picle jar or something like that.

Look around the house and see what you can find. Do you drink soda pop, for example? It will be about 12 oz. Figure that if you use a can opener and cut the top off, you will have a measure that is 1 1/4 c--so fill your pop can up 3/4 of the way and you have about a cup. There must be something in your home that you can use to help determine your needed measurements.

if you don't have a cup then use a container of choice that's close to a cup and use equal amounts just like you would with a measuring cup

16 tablespoons = 1 cup
8 tablespoons - 1/2 cup

8 ounces = 1 cup (the average tea cup is only 6 ounces)

If you have any 16 ounce tumblers, just fill it up half way for 1 cup, or a quarter of the way for 1/2 cup.

one cup is approximately 3/4 of a coffee mug. so fill a coffee mug about 3/4 of the way full and you will have a cup of whatever you need.

one cup (dry) = 237 ml
or you can go by grams
1 cup peanut butter = 260 grams
half cup of sugar = 100 grams

These aren't perfect conversions, but they are good enough for cookies.

a cup is 8oz

Providing you use the same cup it wont matter. The ratio's of the ingrediants will remain the same so you can use a cup a thimble or a bucket depending on how much mix you want
