Question:

CookING RibS HOw lonG?

got coals all to one side apple wood and charcole , standerd slab of baby back ribs how long should they cook for

Answers:
I usually put them in a crockpot on low for at least four or five hours before putting them on the grill. I also add a can of light beer to the crock pot and the rest up with water.

I then put the ribs on the grill and spread on the sauce. Cook for about ten minutes then flip and sauce the other side. Cook for ten more minutes and you are done!

This makes super tender ribs that are absolutely delicious.

45 minutes to an hour

It’s hard to beat grilled or smoked ribs. They are messy, but that’s part of the fun. (It’s not often that you can get smeared in sauce and still be socially acceptable.) Ribs aren’t the easiest grill or smoke dishes either, so many folks miss out on the joy of “down home” ribs. They pass on the mess and stress factors, but I’m here to say that barbecue ribs are worth every minute of the time and mess involved.

1 hour unwrapped

45 minutes to a hour.

Ribs take too long to cook on a grill without going through 3 - 4 briquest treatments, the coals burn out too fast. Try this, gently simmer the ribs 45 minutes in water or broth, then, grill, one batch of coals will do it, this way, and, the ribs will be tender.

Bake them in a deep pan in the oven for 4 hours at about 275 degrees with a can of beer in the bottom. Cover for the whole length of time in oven. Take out and brown them on the grill, about 15 minutes. You will have some killer pull apart, meat falling off the bones ribs. Make sure you put the sauce on just before you take them off the grill.
