can anyone tell me how they make rice into rice crispies, im just curious as the advertisment has just been on tv

I saw a show on Food network about that. They put the rice into a machine that puts it under pressure and heats it until it pops like popcorn. Pretty cool!
dont know but how do they get the snap crackle and pop

Maybe it has been aired but I just never saw it.
I'll bet it is a huge pot of hot oil with an extruding machine that dribbles little dollops of batter.
Its just heated puffed rice i think.
It is cheaper to buy Kellogg's Rice Crispies! why do you want to waste your time doing that when you can spend time with your husband? I am sure you can do something better together!
Rice Krispie Treats
Ingredients
3 tablespoons margarine or butter
1 package (10 oz. about 40) regular marshmallows
or 4 cups miniature marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispies?
Directions
Melt margarine in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. 2. Add KELLOGG'S? RICE KRISPIES? cereal. Stir until well coated. 3. Using buttered spatula or waxed paper, press mixture evenly into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cut into 2-inch squares when cool. Best if served the same day. Yield: 24 squares
MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS: In a large microwave safe bowl, heat margarine and marshmallows at HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Follow steps 2 and 3 above. Microwave cooking times may vary.
Note: For best results, use fresh marshmallows. 1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow creme can be substituted for marshmallows. Diet, reduced calorie or tub margarine is not recommended. Store no more than two days in airtight container.
Extra ingredient possibilities
Stir in 1 Tbl of cocoa to make chocolate treats
Use only 1 tbl butter and add 3 tbl peanut butter for peanut butter treats
Stir in 1/4 cup of mini chocolate bits or chocolate chips
Stir in 1/4 cup dried chopped mixed fruit.
Stir in 1 1/2 tbl instant butterscotch pudding mix
chocolate peanut butter squares
100g/4oz plain chocolate
2 rounded tbsp crunchy peanut butter
3 cups rice krispies.
1. lightly grease and line a square cake tin.
2. melt the chocolate and peanut butter in as bowl over a pan of simmering water, stir well until combined.
3. remove bowl from pan and add rice krispies until all are coated with mixture.
4. spoon into tin, spreading mixture all over.
5. put in fridge for at least 2 hrs.
6. once set turn out of tin and cut into 14 squares.
