Answers:
I love asparagus. I like it with garlic and mushrooms and some lovely sauce that the Chinese cooks put on it at my fav. restruant.
If Im at home, its in the steamer till its bright green. I drizzle a little olive oil and sprinkle a little kosher salt on it-the best!
You sure can put it on the grill. Just do this: lay it across the bbq grill on the heat, it will cook it and give it a nice flavor from the charcoal and nice color from the fire. After its out, drizzle a little olive oil over it, then some kosher salt.
Its really best just cooked with olive oil and kosher salt I guess! That's the best kind of cooking-no fuss, no muss...tasting the flavor of the food.
Have a great bbq!
Yes, they can be grilled, but my favorite is to bake them in the stove with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and salt.
Bon appetit!
Asparagus...broiler...or grill... put on foil...little garlic salt and pepper...
Also, cut into thirds...saute' in butter and a litte fresh garlic add a splash of lemon juice just before serving.
Yes I like to use a vinegrette on mine and put them onto skewers and grill them. They are actually good anyway you make them-yummy!!
I usually cook mine in the microwave. I put pats of butter on top of the asparagus, cover the dish with plastic wrap. Cut slits into the plastic wrap. Microwave until tender.
You can cook on the grill. Prepare asparagus by washing and cutting off ends. Rub olive oil over the asparagus and season with your favorite seasoning (i.e salt and pepper). Place on the grill (I use a piece of Reynolds Release on the grill) and cook until tender.
Sure you can cook them on the grill, I like mine gently steamed and served with warmed butter. Whatever way you choose enjoy it is a short season for good asparagus :(
Yes they can be cooked on the grill. I also use my panini grill and they are good and fast.
The BBQ gril flavor can overpower the flavor of asparagus. Careful not to burn it. You may want to steam it in foil. That way it will still have that fresh asparagus flavor.
Don't overcook it. It still should be firm.
I love to take fresh asparagus & rinse, then snap ends off. Lay in the center of a piece of foil, then add a couple cloves of garlic minces, a drizzle of olive oil & a splash of italian dressing. Fold foil into pouch, then place on grill turning with tongs til tender. Sprikle with sea salt & fresh ground pepper, then a pat of butter on top......Goes great with steak or seafood!!
Yes, asparagus can certainly be grilled...and that happens to be one of my favorite ways to eat it.
A really quick and easy approach is to wash and dry the asparagus, then let it soak for about 30 minutes in your favorite Italian (oil and vinegar) salad dressing. Then just grill it...over very hot coals...until it's softened, and it has some blackened spots on it.
Keep the asparagus at a 90-degree angle to the grill grates, so it doesn't fall through. Or, you can poke a bunch of holes in a sheet of aluminum foil, and lay that over the grill, and put the asparagus on top.
I have never grilled it. this is my favorite way to have it.

I cook them in a few different ways ... my favorite is Grilled. I toss them in Olive Oil and my grilling seasoning (50% Kosher Salt, 25% Pepper, 25% Garlic Powder) and then grill them for about 10 minutes.
My next favorite is broiled, in the same matter, and then steamed.
I also like to do a Italian broil/boil/steam method. I use a good size pan and cover the asparagus in up to a cup of olive oil, then the juice of 2 lemons, the lemon zest, salt, pepper and crushed red pepper flak. It's also delicious to cook large chunks of fennel, broccoli and cauliflower that way.
Yes, they can be grilled.
My favorite way is to cut them in 1-inch pieces on the diagonal, and stir fry them in some olive oil. When bright green, they are cooked! Season with some sea salt and pepper.
Wrap them in proscuitto sea salt and pepper lighty drizzle extra virgin olive oil and roast at 400 for 3-4 minutes.
