Answers:
I agree this is SO good!!!!

BAKED BEANS WITH GROUND BEEF

1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onions
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. vinegar
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. ketchup
1 med. size can pork and beans

Brown hamburger meat with onions. Drain. Mix remaining ingredients with hamburger and onion. Put into baking dish and bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Love that! I called it "meat 'n beans" when I was growing up. Just a can of baked beans (I like brown sugar baked beans) and a lb of ground beef. I never baked it though. Just browned the beef on the stove, added the can of beans, and voila!!! YAY! I need to have that tomorrow!! Total comfort food.

It can be the beginning of a great "chili con carne" if you also include: (fresh ingredients in place if you prefer)
-One can of sliced mushrooms or stems and pieces
-One finely chopped onion
-One can of tomato sauce
-One finely chopped green pepper
-1 tbsp. chili powder & pepper to taste
-one can of red kidney beans
-One tsp. hot mustard
Cook the above with your meat and beans for an hour or so over medium heat voila!

This is a recipe from my mother in law that we serve all the time! Easy and delicious!

Bill's Beans
1 - 53 oz can pork and beans
1 - 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 lb hamburger.
2 chopped onions
1 green pepper, chopped
1-2 t chili powder, or to taste
Garlic salt to taste (I use about 1 t)
salt and pepper

Saute hamburger and vegs. Drain grease and mix with remaining ingredients. Bake at 350° for 1 hour
