Pancake batter?!

Question:

Pancake batter?

We have moved recently and there are a lot of things we had in the states that we cannot get here. Premade pancake mix is one of them, so I am now learning to cook from scratch. So my question is when I make my mix (both dry and liquid) is it possible to keep this in the fridge for a few days for school breakfasts. If not what is the best way to have pancakes for breakfasts without the lengthy refridgeration period?

Answers:
you should be able to keep it in the fridge for no more than two days, i'd say. or you could make your own bisquick and keep it in the pantry!

Bisquick Baking Mix

9 cups Flour
1/3 cup Baking powder
1 cup Powdered milk
2 tablespoons Powdered milk
4 teaspoons Salt
1 1/2 cup Vegetable oil

Sift all dry ingredients, cut oil into flour until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Store, well covered in cool dry place.

Use just like you would Bisquick, or pancake mix.

I would keep the dry in the frig and add the liquid as needed..the dry should keep for a few weeks.

You can probably order premade pancake mix to be delivered from the Internet. Try Amazon.com

Otherwise, just mix up all the dry ingredients first and store individual batches in plastic bags so that all you have to do is dump it in a bowl and mix in the wet ingredients.
