I like to combine 1 part Bulls Eye original BBQ sauce with 3 parts Dai Dai sweet and sour duck sauce. Makes for a different, sweeter BBQ sauce and if you grill ribs or chicken with it, it has a really nice flavor.

I make this Korean BBQ sauce for Beef steak or chicken thighs and roast them on grill or panfry them.

<<<<<<< Korean BBQ sauce - Marinade >>>>>>>

1000 cc light Soy Sauce (preferable organic ones)
80 g cane sugar (you can adjust the sweetness)
80 cc Japanese Sake
50 cc Mirin (Japanese cooking wine)
200 cc Red wine
60 cc Sesame Oil
20+ cloves of garlic
30 g whole black pepper (you may add more during the BBQ)

1) Heat the soy sauce in a pot, bring to boil, then leave it to cool

2) Disolve sugar into the soy sauce when it's still a bit warm

3) Put the soy sauce, Japanese sake, Japanese mirin, garlic, black pepper into a blender, blend well then pour into a jar

4) Pour the red wine and sesame oil into the mixture, stir to combine, shake well before use.

This sauce can be kept refrigerated for about 1 month.

I don't think it is available nationally, but Skookum Chuck's Spicy Bonanza Blaze BBQ sauce is heaven in a bottle.

Long name, awesome BBQ sauce. I sent it to east coast friend's for Christmas last year, everyone raves about it.
