What is whole grain bread??!

Question:

What is whole grain bread??

Answers:
It's bread made from flour that is processed from grains that still have the bran layer around it. The layer of bran surrounding the endosperm has all sorts of fiber and other nutrients in it.

It is so named because it uses WHOLE grains, rather than just the endosperm.

a bread is considered whole grain if the wheat it is made from has been unblanced and unprocessed, leaving the grains still "whole"..... at least that's what i've been told

whole grain bread is what the name implies. the flour used to make the bread is made from crushing the whole kernal of grain. nothing is separated or filtered out

White bread is made from flour that has been bleached and only the endosperm of the grain is used to make the flour.
Whole grain bread products are much better for us because they contain the whole grain kernel, (bran, endosperm and germ)which has fiber as well as more vitamins and minerals.
