Baked beans?!

Question:

Baked beans?

I want to make baked beans out of the can, but it has no directions. I don't want to cook them on the stove top because I don 't like them runny. How should I cook them?

okay, don't tell me to put them on the stove when I noted - I don't WANT them that way.

I don't know HOW long to bake them, or How HOT to make the oven.

Great way to spice up baked beans.

Get a pot, poor the beans from the can to the pot and heat just keep mixing and stuff

you should bake them in the oven

You can use canned baked beans and improve them by adding brown sugar, molasses, corn syrup or even honey to spice them up. To get your baked beans to have more consistency you can make a thickening of flour and cold water, using 2-3 tablespoons of cold water to each tablespoon of flour. Slowly add the thickening mixture to your baken beans over low heat until you get the constistency you desire.

Ok buy the Bush's Baked Beans the original not any other flavor. But the big cans, get some brown sugar and some KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce. Just about a cup of brown sugar and a cup pf bbq sauce. Combine all of those in a pot on top of the stove and warm, stirring occasionally, they won't be runny and they will taste amazing. You can also put all those ingredients in a square glass baking dish and bake in the oven on like 400 until they are bubbly and warm throughout. The beans are amazing, my hubby and the rest of my family loves when I make baked beans like that! Good luck!! Hope this helped you!! Enjoy!!

Hi !!!
This is how I make my Baked Beans...

Southern Baked Beans recipe

6 Servings

Ingredients

1 pound Campbell's Baked Beans
2 teaspoon Mustard
1/4 cup Onion chopped
2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup Brown sugar firmly packed
8 slices Bacon cooked crisp & crumbled
1/4 cup Ketchup

Directions
The easiest bacon is the already cooked by Oscar Meyer, Hormel or Tyson. Basically, it's priced the same. Just pop it into the microwave for a couple of minutes and voila! no mess to clean! Crumble it, pull it apart to make small pieces.

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.

Pour into a medium sized casserole dish. Bake at 350 until bubbly, about 40 minutes or less.

Liz & Amy's Quick and Easy Southern Spiced Baked Beans

3 cans baked beans, your favorite brand and flavor (maple flavor is a good complement)
1/2 lb. bacon, cut in 1/4 in. slices
1/2 red pepper diced
1/2 medium sized onion diced
1 jalapeno diced (seeds and membrane removed)
1/8 cup maple syrup (more if desired)- optional
1 - 2 teaspoons Caroline's Texas Chili Seasoning Mix, to taste
salt and pepper to taste

In a non-stick frying pan over medium heat, render and brown the bacon until 3/4 cooked. Drain the bacon grease, reserving 2 - 3 tablespoons of grease with which to sauté the red pepper, onion and jalapeno.

Add the red pepper, onion and jalapeno to the bacon, and continue to sauté until the vegetables begin to sweat and turn translucent. Gently stir in the beans being careful not to mash or break them up. If mixture is really thick add a tablespoon or two of water to make it more fluid, but be careful not to add too much, as the beans will continue to leach liquid as they cook. Season with salt and pepper, and if desired, add additional maple syrup to taste. If a little more heat is desired, you can kick it up a notch by adding 1 - 2 teaspoons of Texas chili seasoning.

If your non-stick pan is not oven safe, transfer bean mixture to an oven safe pan, cover tightly with a lid or foil, and bake at 250 degrees for an hour, stirring once.

Serves 4 - 5

I make mine the way Kimberly does . They are great too.

First of all ... PLEASE don't make them out of a can. Just a bit more effort will give you rockin' baked beans from scratch ...
